This 60 story historic skyscraper in Chicago was being redesigned in the lobby and main entrance areas for the first time since being built in 1989. The design team wanted to update the classic style that was punctuated by brass finishes and traditional light fixtures. The new design featured the clean aesthetic of backlit white interlayer glass. The specifiers demanded perfectly even illumination for the project that would encompass 8,000 square feet of backlit glass. FSL created custom 3500K LED boards at two different output levels to match the designers' vision and meet energy code stipulations. Custom attachment hardware was developed for the dim able LED lighting system.
